A pair of nineteenth century Chinese hardwood armchairs, the arched shaped backs with rounded frames enclosing pierced carved panels with flowerhead medallion borders having stylised bats supporting ribbon tassels, the rectangular arms framing scrolled greek key fretwork, the cane seats on lotus shaped legs carved with trailing scrolled blind fretwork foliage, having batwing style pierced aprons.
